Makeup Revolution Haul

I feel like I haven’t done a makeup haul for quite some time now! It feels weird! I think over the last couple of months I’ve found that I don’t wear anywhere near as much makeup as I used to. Slowly as we come into Winter I find myself caking the stuff back on because I feel so pale and dull! I’m definitely leaning towards my blushers, bronzers and highlighters at the moment, along with bolder lip colours and a stronger brow look. Today’s post includes a small selection of Makeup Revolution products which I am really excited to use!

This is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush & Contour palette. I love the colours in this. Some are matte and some have a slight shimmer to them. Not many people like shimmer eye shadows or blushers but I think they’re quite nice. It adds more definition when applied and it catches the light really nicely. Some of these are better pigmented than the others. I’ve found the darker pink colours go a long way in terms of usage. You literally need to pat your brush on them once and you have enough for both cheeks. The lighter colours I find need a little bit more attention when applying but the end result is really lovely. I have quite fair skin and I like the finish of these with my skin tone. The orange one admittedly is a little bit too dark for me but I did use this on my eyelids and put a dab of white shadow with it and it looked really lovely and autumnal. Price: £6.00

The other two items in my haul are the Highlighter Golden Lights and the Ultra Bronze, Shimmer and Highlight. The highlighter has a lovely finish on the skin. I’m not 100% keen on the gold shimmer however it warms your face up as well as brightening it up too; which I like. I’ve found that you need to use quite a coarse face brush to apply this as it is well packed into the packaging so a fluffy brush won’t always pick up enough product. The bronze, shimmer and highlight product is amazing. The lighter colour is fantastic to use for light contouring on the skin. If you are fair skinned like me then you will understand that we have issues finding a non-orange effect bronzer! This is perfect! The darker colours are also great for darker contouring and sculpting around the face. I use the darker colour around the edge of my face and the lighter colour to give my whole face an overall sun-kissed look. Highlighter:  £3.00 , Bronze, Shimmer & Highlight: £4.00
